Please Don't Call Me: Graphic Design and Other Hang-ups features, for the first time, a massive collection of posters, logos, packaging, and ephemera from Sugiuchi's 40-plus years of toiling in the field of graphic design. The book also includes sketches, scribbles, failures and behind-the-scenes commentary on projects for film, music and beyond.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Scott Sugiuchi is a self-proclaimed pop culture junkie and graphic designer. On occasion he plays bass with garage legends The Hate Bombs as well as releasing records on the irreverent Hidden Volume Records. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Sugiuchi's work is deeply rooted in comic books, advertising from the middle of the twentieth century, cult cinema, and trash rock. He currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is the art director for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.
