ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Emily Hawkins, writing as the character Professor Byron Mortimer, is a writer and editor of children’s books for all ages. Hawkins wrote the New York Times bestseller Oceanology, as well as several other titles in the Ology series, which has sold over 16 million copies worldwide. She holds an English degree from Nottingham University, and now lives with her young family in Winchester, England.
 
Victo Ngai is a Society of Illustrators Gold Medal–winning artist. Her style of magical realism is world renowned, crossing advertising, animation, and packaging. Originally from Hong Kong, she lives and works in Los Angeles.
