**From the bestselling author of Drawn to the Garden**
Discover the beauty, humor, and wonder of the natural world with Caroline Quentin’s warm and personal journey through nature in all its forms.
Following the bestseller, Drawn to the Garden, Caroline Quentin returns with Drawn to Nature, a beautifully illustrated celebration of the natural encounters that have shaped her life. Written in her characteristically conversational style, this book invites you to see nature with fresh eyes, whether you nurture a sprawling garden, tend a single balcony pot, keep a few houseplants, or simply enjoy stepping outside.
Structured through the colors of the rainbow and illustrated by the author herself, Caroline weaves together reflections on nature with entertaining stories from a life spent on stage and screen. From her early days as a chorus girl and her time in the original cast of Les Misérables to filming around Britain and beyond, she shares the encounters that deepened her connection with the natural world. Along the way, her trademark humor and appreciation for life's absurdities shine through.
For example, you'll discover:
- Caroline's personal nature reflections, rooted in her lifelong connection to England's West Country.
- Funny and often surprising stories from her acting career, interwoven with memories of places and people that shaped her love of the outdoors.
- Practical ideas for staying connected to nature, even when life changes.
- Gentle seasonal and color‑based inspirations, from noticing early snowdrops to appreciating birdsong.
- Caroline's own original illustrations, capturing flora, fauna, landscapes, and natural treasures with charm and character.
Drawn to Nature is a unique blend of nature writing and memoir, and a heartfelt companion for anyone who loves the outdoors, good stories, and the small wonders of everyday life.
