The present office in Zurich dates back to the founding of Dolf Schnebli in 1958. Through various constellations, the team has changed to its present form sam architekten with Sacha Menz as the only one of the founding partners.
Today’s practice in Zurich was originally founded by Dolf Schnebli in 1958. In various constellations, the team has evolved into its present form sam architekten. Its three partners are Sacha Menz, the only remaining founding partner, Andrea Gubler and Christoph Schneider, representing a younger generation. The practice continues to produce both large and small buildings of high quality. They include the delicate Rustico Ronchetti in Brissago, which is subtly integrated into its surroundings, and the municipal multipurpose hall extension in Vals, which radiates a poetic power, as well as the complex extension to the Swiss Re clubhouse on Mythenquai in Zurich, which was created in collaboration with various artists.
